Well ............. it's one of the best! Been around for 58 years! and can't you see why? and truly you never ever mind eating off paper plates, and plastic utensils ... really!!! It's that GOOD!

well, here it is ... Ocean Blvd ~ and under construction. Bittersweet I think! Of course, we understand when rebuilding HAS TO be done ... just WoW ~ I mean WoW!! and double Wow! Such a gorgeous place ... and this is the house where I believe Doug thought about becoming an architect ... and then ultimately decided on accounting = it's a math thingy that he excels at ~ and all the Reader's were CaliFornIa kiddos!! Memories ... stroll down the lane and think about your childhood!

Balboa & Newport Beach

Doug grew up in Newport Beach .. so we ended our w/e there! GORGEOUS place. I am still trying to figure out how Grandpy got Grandma to move?! But we all know, we goes whereth the jobeth taketh!! KWIM?! and what fun the 3 of us had. Darlin D' who doesn't like seafood (mind you, he will cook & clean it for moi!) actually took us to "The Crab Cooker" for lunch and for ole' time memory sake! And ... it hasN'T changed ~ still excellent food! and on the corner and red as RED can be!! We walked around of course ... and I have more photos to share.

Venice BEACH ...

Kinda like hippyville and from the 1970's. Different ... body building on the beach, basketball pickup games, paddle tennis, and the strip ~ like a boardwalk ... and O' course medicinal marijuana (I don't think so ..... ) However, amongst all the 'chaos' ~ what do you think happens?!! God showed up .... a choir got on stage and began singing "I can only imagine" ... GOD cares, GOD knows and amongst all the evil, chaos and crap ~ God shows up!

What's CA without an IN & OUT Burger? the sign that everyone 'must see'. The Kodak theatre .. home of American Idol and the award ceremonies! and JOKER with Ryan. Ironically, at this very sight we saw a party bus catch on FIRE (I felt so bad for the young kids in the bus! all dressed up etc.) and I quick captured a photo of R & the Joker. more pics to come ....

Ari from Entourage (I don't know? I've never seen Entourage) ~ Ryan loves that TV series so we had to stop by and see the real office ... and we did ~ LQQK at his fascination ... beautiful bldg! Next stop, HOLLYWOOD ~~ sights to see ...
