Happy Halloween. As a kid I learned this as "All Saints Eve" ... a time we could talk and remember those loved ones that had passed on. And the trick or treaters are on their way ... with a FaBOOOOOOOlous time .... with many fun things. m

Mahalia (I have loved this name for many years!) 2. Cinderella (just call me ella!) and now my new favO'rite 3. sugar ..... just call me sugar!! and this photo reminded me of that!! Trick or Treat ...

 

sadly enough, I haven't made any costumes, no decorations, and I'm contemplating making supper reservations on Saturday night. Trick or Treat .... has got to be for the kiddos! I do see a party in my future Halloweens and I'll probably collect canned items for the Food Pantry ... but not this year! Another thing, if my mother put me in this costume ... I'd be frightened what my girlfriends would have done to me!!! enjoy the weekend. Happy haunting! m

Target date given = December 31! Yep, that's it. S & T ... Stucco completed on the outside all in one day AND tapping completed TODAY. moving along, so now we literally watch the stucco set and dry. Nevermind you that the temps. dropped 20 degrees and the cooler weather is here ... so we wait, wait and wait (for about 12 days!).

I now see the patterns in my life! (at least ONE OF THEM ... waiting .. of which I've never been real good at .. getting better with age I might add!) We wait .. and in the waiting I'm asking God to show up! I sooooooo love it when He does. Look at this box! and the drywall has arrived .. it can't sit in the garage forever, so .. I wait. A BIG SURPRISE .. the electrical box is outside .. really, I called to complain that it had been installed backwards and the guy at the end of the phoneline couldn't control himself with laughter ... oh well, living and learning! some of YOU are shoveling snow, sipping snowman soup, and toasting snowman poop ~~~~ NOT I! we headed over to the A&W rootbeer stand and walked around the cars! it's the last carshow of the year and a small one ... but it still brought back memories. The BelAir (turquoise of course!) my mom used to drive, the 62 vette my dad used to drive (fire engine red of course!), a nova I used to drive waaaaaaaaaaaaay too fast and just some fun things!!! BTW it was close to 80 degrees on Saturday and did I mention humid?!!!

Being logical .. a man needs a utility pair (cheap!) and Sunday-going-to-meetin' pair and a pair to wear OUT TO IMPRESS! what?!!! $$$$$ so he just looked, tried on and said 'thank you, kindly!' Do you own BOOTS? what kind? dare to share the size? do you have a 'dream' pair of boots?? talk later! m

We all say this to our beloveds (and we really should say it more often!) ... darlin' D and I have this 'game' we play = he says "I love you" and I'll chime back "I love you more!" then he'll say "I've loved you longer" .. get the jist of it? Well, there's a song 'I love you more than the sun' ... I'll say that and we can go on and on with this ... I saw this and had to PRINT this. I put it into B&W and soft-focused one word 'LOVE'. I did NOT 'plan' to travel ... but that's what I've been doing lately. To Destin FLORIDA with the Church Ladies Gone Wild ... then to Anaheim b/c darlin' D had a convention ... then to Boise! These photos are some that just captured my heart. I have always admired and been fascinated with the fire dept. the last 3 photos are of oldest son Ryan and his place of employment. He likes his job and is working hard.

BROTHERS ... how many does it take to change a light bulb? Well at least 2!! this is on the front porch of Ryan's home and Paul seems to be doing ALL the work!!

CONTENTMENT ... what is it?

I have a story for all of you ... but a Q first for all of U: what level is your contentment????? be honest!!! Every third Thursday I head to my recycling place, to say 'Ola' to my new friends (Tavo & Gregoio) and catchup with their lives. Well, Wednesdays is trash pickup in my neighborhood. For some reason I was awoken (only by the Good Lord Himself b/c I never awaken at 5AMish) to witness this .... a woman (older than me) was searching for bottles, plastics, and glass. She must visit the recycling place too! However, I watched her face ... when she 'captured' a 'treasure' she smiled and was PROUD of herself. WOW, imagine being excited ~ even content with your AM's work/duties. I'm sure she was doing this to survive! I wondered if she had a family. I thought to myself: how do I go and give her all my cans/plastic/glass to help her. I couldn't answer my own Q ..... ARE YOU CONTENT with your life? with your duties? with your self? with the treasures YOU capture each day??? I know that I know that I know we are given treasures daily ... WORDS from God (Donie that's for you girlfriend) .. we ought to share these more often!!!! so here's my challenge ~~~ enjoy life, be CONTENT with whatever TODAY brings!!
